Newly released Hindi movie Bank Chor collected Rs 4.15 crore box office collection in 4 days. The Bollywood film, which features Ritesh Deshmukh, Rhea Chakraborty and Vivek Oberoi in main roles, earned Rs 0.72 crore amount on 4th day of release. Witnessing 50% drop in the occupancy, the movie showcased poor performance on Indian box office.
Commencing the box office journey on a decent note, the comedy drama film earned Rs 1.40 crore income on opening day. The movie witnessed 10% occupancy on its first day of release. On next day, the film received more response from the audiences and witnessed 12% occupancy. The movie continued to showcase good performance throughout the opening weekend.
Directed by Bumpy, the movie collected Rs 1.66 crore on Saturday. As most of the Indian audiences were busy watching India vs Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final match on 18th June, the film received less response on Sunday and registered a business of Rs 1.28 crore on that day. Thus, the Hindi movie bagged a total amount of Rs 4.34 crore in first weekend.
Bank Chor movie was expected to perform well at India’s box office as the film had no big box office competition. Releasing on 700 screens in India, the movie witnessed 13% average occupancy in four days. The film is expected to receive steady response from the movie-watchers in its first week of release.
