Newly released Bollywood movie ‘Guest Iin London’ showcased poor performance on Indian box office and earned Rs 1.70 crore income on first day. Though the film features megastar Paresh Rawal in main role, it failed to attract a big number of audience. Directed by Ashwni Dhir, the Hindi movie is expected to collect Rs 1.8 crore box office collection on 2nd day.
Commencing the box office journey on a decent note, the multi-starrer comedy film witnessed about 20-30% occupancy on opening day. The movie witnessed box office clash with Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer latest Bollywood film ‘Mom’ on opening day. Directed by famous filmmaker Ravi Udyawar, ‘Mom’ movie minted Rs 3.10 crore on first day.
Sridevi’s film also faced a huge box office clash with Salman Khan starrer latest Hindi movie ‘Tubelight’ which still has a good hold in Indian cinema halls. Directed by Kabir Khan, the Bollywood film grossed Rs 120.86 crore in 15 days. Though it starred Sohail Khan and Chinese actress in main lead, the action thriller movie couldn’t surpass the expected box office figure.
Featuring Kartik Aryan and Tanvi Azmi in leading roles, ‘Guest Iin London’ didn’t perform well in foreign countries. The film experienced massive box office competition with newly released Hollywood and English movies and bagged low income in the international market. Paresh Rawal starrer family entertainer is expected to witness hike in the occupancy in weekend days.
