Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor starrer newly released Bollywood movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ performed quite well on Indian box office. Directed by Anurag Basu, the Hindi film witnessed 30% occupancy on opening day. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor, the Bollywood movie made a business of Rs 8.57 crore on first day of its release.
Showcasing excellent performance in India, the film received positive response from the audiences. In south Indian states, the movie faced box office competition with latest Telugu and Tamil films. The movie didn’t witness box office clash in northern and central India as no Hindi film other than it released in this week.
Though the movie exhibited awesome performance in domestic market, it failed to receive similar response from audiences in foreign countries. Latest Hollywood movies ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ and ‘Spider-Man Homecoming’ are having good hold in the cinema halls. Hence, Ranbir and Katrina’s latest Hindi film witnessed less response in overseas.
Featuring other co-artists in supporting roles, the multi-starrer Bollywood film received huge appreciations from most of the critics. Audiences also gave positive feedback to the movie’s story, which mainly revolves around the relation between the heroine and hero. Anurag Basu’s directorial is expected to witness growth in total earnings by the first weekend.
