Commencing its journey on Indian box office with a decent opening, Sameer Vidhwans’s directorial venture witnessed 5% occupancy on first day of its release. After getting the mixed reviews from critics, public response for the film declined in noon and evening shows.
Gashmeer Mahajani and Spruha Joshi starrer romantic comedy movie showcased decent performance in overseas. Though the film featured popular Marathi actors in leading roles, it failed to make a good business in the international market.
Business of ‘Mala Kahich Problem Nahi’ movie is facing a huge impact due to its box office clash with latest Bollywood movie ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’. Though the Hindi movie has been released on 3000 screens across India, it attracted a major chunk of audiences in Marathi speaking states.
Swapnil Joshi and Rucha Inamdar starrer Marathi movie ‘Bhikari’, which was released last week, received huge response in the first weekend. The Marathi film registered a business of Rs 2.00 crore in 1st week. With this movie, renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya made his directorial debut in Marathi industry.
