Latest Marathi film ‘Mala Kahich Problem Nahi’, which released on limited number of screens in Maharashtra on 11th August this year, reported steady occupancy on 2nd day. Witnessing box office clashes with newly released Indian movies, the movie received good response from the movie-watchers on Saturday.
Starting its box office journey on a poor note, Spruha Joshi and Gashmeer Mahajani starrer romantic comedy movie reported 6% occupancy on second day of its release. Though the film witnessed unsteady occupancy on opening day, the response from people increased slightly in its all shows on Saturday.
Sameer Vidhwans’s directorial venture exhibited poor performance in foreign countries. Although the movie features famous Marathi artists in main roles, it didn’t manage to gross the expected business in the overseas market.
Box office collection of movie ‘Mala Kahich Problem Nahi’ has been affected due to the clash with latest Hindi movie ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’. Releasing on 3000 screens in India, the Bollywood film received big response from the major chunk of audiences in Marathi speaking states.
Rucha Inamdar and Swapnil Joshi starrer Marathi film ‘Bhikari’, which was released last week, got ample response in the 1st weekend. The Marathi movie earned an income of Rs 1.48 crore in opening weekend. The film’s business suffered with a huge loss due the box office competition with other films released in this week.
