Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sridevi starrer latest Bollywood movie ‘Mom’ earned Rs 14.40 crore total box office collection in opening weekend. Featuring several other co-artists in supporting roles, the film received positive feedback from audiences. The movie is expected to witness steady growth in its business on the remaining days of its first week on Indian box office.
Commencing the box office journey with receiving average response in cinema halls, the multilingual movie earned Rs 2.90 crore collection on first day. Released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages, the film made a satisfactory business on opening day. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the multilingual film witnessed maximum response in central and northern India.
Directed by renowned filmmaker Ravi Udyawar, the thriller drama movie experienced unexpected surge in the public response and collected Rs 5.06 crore total box office collection on 2nd day of its release. Continuing to showcase excellent performance on following day, the film registered a business of Rs 6.42 crore on third day and earned Rs 14.40 crore total income in three days.
In overseas, the movie couldn’t make good income as the newly released Hollywood films have a good hold in the international market. Though Sridevi is globally famous, her film failed to receive copious response in foreign countries. On other hand, adjacently released Bollywood film ‘Guest Iin London’ performed well on Indian box office and raked an income of Rs 2.25 crore in 2 days.
